Economic Indicators Suggest Inflation Remains a Concern
According to recent data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), the core Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index for August has revealed that underlying inflation persists above the Federal Reserve’s desired 2% threshold, standing at 2.7%. Meanwhile, the August core Consumer Price Index (CPI) reading came in even higher, indicating that price pressures continue to build.
