Revamped SUV Lineup: Ford Expedition Gets a Luxurious Makeover
In a bid to stay ahead of the competition, Ford Motor has unveiled a revamped Expedition SUV, boasting a sleeker design, enhanced comfort features, and cutting-edge technology. The new three-row SUV is designed to cater to the evolving needs of families, providing a seamless driving experience.
Ford’s research team spent over 1,100 hours gathering insights from customers, which led to a rethought and redesigned Expedition. The new model features a 24-inch driver display, advanced comfort features, and the innovative BlueCruise hands-free highway driving system.
The 2025 Expedition will be available in four trims: Active, Platinum, King Ranch, and Tremor, with the latter being an off-road inspired addition. The SUV will be powered by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, with a high-output version delivering 440 horsepower and 510 foot-pounds of torque.
While pricing details are yet to be announced, the current Expedition models range from $55,000 to $84,000, with an average transaction price of around $70,000. The revamped Expedition is set to hit dealerships in the spring, poised to take on growing competition from General Motors, Stellantis, Kia, and Hyundai in the full-size SUV segment.
According to Edmunds.com, three-row crossovers have become a popular choice among consumers, with the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade emerging as top cross-shopped vehicles in the segment. The mainstream full-size SUV segment has seen significant growth, representing 2.7% of the U.S. market this year, with sales totaling around 312,500 units through September.
