**Ex-Humane Executives Secure $25M Valuation After AI Startup Exit**

**New AI Venture Emerges from Humane Executives**

Brooke Hartley Moy and Ken Kocienda, former leaders at AI hardware startup Humane, are launching Infactory, an innovative AI fact-checking search engine. The venture has secured $4 million in funding at a $25 million valuation.

Infactory’s cutting-edge tool is designed to search enterprise databases and the open web in a transparent and explainable manner. The startup is targeting industries such as finance, insurance, SaaS, healthcare, and media.

Hartley Moy, Infactory’s CEO, emphasized the vast opportunities in the enterprise sector, stating, “Building this kind of product was never going to be a fit at a consumer hardware company.”

The duo departed Humane in May, following the lukewarm reception of its AI Pin device. However, Hartley Moy clarified that their departure was unrelated to the reviews, citing the business opportunities they saw during their tenure.

Infactory’s seed round was led by Bee Partners, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz and others. The company is currently in alpha status, working with design partners to incorporate feedback before its official launch later this year.

Hartley Moy highlighted the need for accurate and trustworthy AI applications, particularly in industries with high standards for quality and reliability. Infactory addresses this by preparing data in a way that AI models can better analyze, providing accurate answers and citing sources.

Kocienda, Infactory’s CTO, explained that the tool is designed to understand an enterprise’s data semantically, gauge which questions can be answered, and refuse to answer when it can’t. This approach sets Infactory apart from many AI chatbots that struggle with accuracy.

As the market for AI-powered chatbots and agents continues to grow, Infactory is poised to make a significant impact with its innovative approach to transparent and explainable AI.
