Timeless Elegance: Patek Philippe Unveils the Cubitus Collection
In a move that’s sending ripples through the world of luxury watches, Patek Philippe has introduced its first new collection in 25 years – the Cubitus line. This exciting development comes at a time when luxury watch prices have stabilized, driven by strong demand from younger investors and collectors who discovered their passion for high-end timepieces during the Covid-19 pandemic.
A New Era of Elegance
The Cubitus collection is designed to offer a fresh take on the “elegant sporty” style, featuring three distinct models – two in steel casings and one in platinum. The steel versions boast colorful faces and a sporty vibe, with one model showcasing a two-toned design with rose gold accents for a vintage feel. The platinum version, on the other hand, boasts a unique face design, complete with a large-format date and a dial tracking the moon phase and day of the week.
Innovative Technology
Patek Philippe has incorporated cutting-edge technology into the Cubitus watches, including an ultrathin and self-winding mini rotor and an instantaneous-jump mechanism that ensures precise synchronization of the displays within 18 milliseconds. The brand has filed six patent applications for these innovative features.
A Match Made in Heaven: Cufflinks and Watches
To complement the Cubitus watches, Patek Philippe has also introduced a range of cufflinks designed to match the timepieces. These elegant accessories feature a white-gold frame that mirrors the shape of the watch case, creating a seamless look.
A Legacy of Excellence
Founded in 1839, Patek Philippe is renowned as one of “The Holy Trinity” in watchmaking, alongside Audemars Piguet and Vacheron Constantin. The brand’s last new collection, the Twenty~4 design, was launched in 1999 and was dedicated to the young, active, and modern woman. With the Cubitus collection, Patek Philippe is set to continue its legacy of excellence in the world of luxury watches.
