Market Rally Continues: Futures Rise Amid Strong Performance
The stock market rally is showing no signs of slowing down, with Dow Jones futures, S&P 500 futures, and Nasdaq futures all rising modestly on Sunday night. This follows a strong week for the market, with many leading stocks breaking into new buy zones.
AI Chip Stocks Lead the Way
One of the standout performers is Astera Labs (ALAB), a relatively small company that has emerged as the clear leader in AI chip stocks. The company’s stock has nearly tripled from its early August low, and it recently cleared a 100.06 high-handle entry on a consolidation that started in late March. Astera Labs’ strong performance is a testament to the growing demand for AI technology.
Other Leading Stocks
Other leading stocks that have broken into buy zones include TechnipFMC (FTI), ACV Auctions (ACVA), TJX Cos. (TJX), and Ryan Specialty Holdings (RYAN). Burlington Stores (BURL) and Dell Technologies (DELL) also broke out on Friday and are now in buy zones. However, both companies report earnings on Tuesday, along with CrowdStrike (CRWD), Workday (WDAY), Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF), and Nutanix (NTNX).
Investors Should Stay Cautious
While the market rally is certainly encouraging, investors should remain cautious and avoid getting caught up in the excitement. It’s essential to remember that past performance is not always indicative of future success, and buying extended or making aggressive moves can backfire.
New Entries and Opportunities
Despite the need for caution, there are still opportunities for investors to add exposure to the market. Many stocks flashed buy signals last week, and there are still stocks in buy zones or setting up. Investors can look for incremental buys or add-on purchases, while also paring laggards.
Economic Indicators
The 10-year Treasury yield fell several basis points to 4.35%, while crude oil futures edged lower. Bitcoin, which reached a high of $99,768 on Friday, was trading around $98,000 on Sunday night.
