Ed Sheeran Takes His Mathematics Tour to Uncharted Territory
Breaking New Ground in Bhutan
Global superstar Ed Sheeran is set to make history by performing the first major international concert in Bhutan’s capital, Thimphu, on January 24, 2025. This milestone event is part of his +–=÷x Tour, which will also take him to India and the Middle East in early 2025.
Affordable Tickets for a Unique Experience
Tickets for the Thimphu concert at Changlimithang Stadium went on sale Saturday, with prices ranging from 860 Bhutanese ngultrum ($10) to $100. While the cheapest tickets have already sold out, fans can still snag a seat for a relatively affordable price compared to Sheeran’s average concert ticket price of $167.
A Unique Destination with a Sustainable Twist
International attendees will need to obtain a visa to enter Bhutan and pay the country’s Sustainable Development Fee, which supports free education, healthcare, and environmental protection. This innovative approach to tourism is part of Bhutan’s vision to become the “greenest, cleanest, and safest city” in the world.
A Glimpse into the Future: Gelephu Mindfulness City
The Thimphu concert is being promoted by AEG Presents, One Fiinix Live, and Gelephu Mindfulness City, a futuristic metropolis currently in development. This sustainable city, designed to support a population of 1 million, will feature a low-to-mid-rise architecture, a new international airport, and state-of-the-art facilities for education, healthcare, and spirituality.
The Mathematics Tour Continues
Sheeran launched the Mathematics Tour in 2022 and has already performed 134 shows. With the tour scheduled to end in 2025, fans in India, Qatar, and Bahrain can look forward to catching him live in February and April.
