President-elect Donald Trump has announced his choice for special presidential envoy for hostage affairs, selecting Adam Boehler, CEO of Nashville-based healthcare investment firm Rubicon Founders, to take on the critical role. Boehler, who played a key part in negotiating the Abraham Accords in 2020, will work closely with the administration to secure the release of American hostages held abroad.

Boehler’s experience in high-stakes negotiations will be invaluable in his new role. Having worked alongside Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and senior White House advisor, Boehler has a deep understanding of the complex dynamics involved in international diplomacy. As Trump emphasized, Boehler has negotiated with some of the toughest individuals in the world, including the Taliban.
