This smart contract blockchain network has seen its price soar by 90% this year, following a staggering 900% return in 2023. Investors like Cathie Wood of Ark Invest are bullish on Solana due to its faster, cheaper, and easier-to-use nature compared to Ethereum. With spot Solana ETFs already approved in Brazil and eight ETPs trading in Europe, official SEC approval could come as early as Q1 2025.
XRP: Riding the Trump Trade
XRP has been on fire since the presidential election, with its price increasing by 145% this year. Like Solana, XRP is often cited as a potential spot ETF prospect, with several investment firms filing for spot XRP ETFs in the U.S. XRP investment products already trade in Europe, and the growing consensus is that the SEC will abandon its lawsuit against Ripple in 2025, paving the way for a pro-crypto environment in Washington, D.C.
Cardano: The Underdog
Cardano, a smart contract blockchain network, has broken through the $1 mark and is now up 55% for the year. With a $36 billion market cap, Cardano is a potential Ethereum killer, boasting a loyal blockchain developer ecosystem and long-term staying power. If a new spot ETF is approved in 2025, Cardano could triple in value to hit $3, matching its all-time high from three years ago.
