Logistics Powerhouse Expands Reach with Strategic Acquisition
In a move set to revolutionize the logistics landscape, BlueGrace Logistics has acquired fellow Florida-based 3PL provider FreightCenter, further solidifying its position as a leading non-asset-based transportation broker.
A Legacy of Excellence
Founded 26 years ago in Palm Harbor, Florida, FreightCenter has built a reputation for excellence in less-than-truckload shipping, while also offering a comprehensive range of truckload, air, and ocean freight services. This acquisition marks a significant milestone in the company’s history, as it joins forces with BlueGrace to enhance the logistics experience for thousands of customers.
A Shared Vision for Innovation
“We’ve had the pleasure of working with the talented team at FreightCenter for over a decade,” said Bobby Harris, CEO and founder of BlueGrace. “This acquisition presents the perfect opportunity to combine our advanced technology, industry expertise, and extensive carrier network to deliver tailored solutions that meet the unique shipping needs of our customers.”
Seamless Integration, Enhanced Capabilities
FreightCenter will continue to operate independently, with its clients gaining access to BlueGrace’s comprehensive logistics services, including managed logistics, the BlueShip TMS, and EVOS, a cutting-edge load optimization platform acquired in March 2024. “BlueGrace’s innovative technology and extensive service offerings perfectly complement our commitment to simplifying freight for our customers,” noted Matt Brosious, CEO of FreightCenter.
A Stronger Network, Brighter Future
With this acquisition, BlueGrace strengthens its position as a logistics powerhouse, boasting 10,000 customers and 250,000 carriers on its BlueShip platform. As a portfolio company of private equity firm Warburg Pincus, BlueGrace is poised to drive growth and innovation in the logistics industry.
