Unlocking the Power of Large Quantitative Models on Google Cloud
In a significant move, SandboxAQ, a leading quantum startup, has announced that its large quantitative models (LQMs) will be available on Google Cloud. This partnership marks a major milestone in the development of AI technology, as cloud providers seek to fuel growth through innovative solutions.
Tapping into the Potential of LQMs
LQMs are designed to handle massive numerical datasets, perform complex calculations, and conduct statistical analysis. These models can be used to develop sophisticated financial models or automate trading strategies, making them an attractive solution for enterprises seeking to stay ahead of the curve.
Expanding Accessibility and Distribution
By partnering with Google Cloud, SandboxAQ will make it easier for enterprises to develop and deploy LQMs, expanding the distribution of its platform to a larger pool of potential customers. This move is expected to have a significant impact on the industry, as more than 80% of the economy is driven by math and quantitative relationships, according to Jack Hidary, CEO of SandboxAQ.
A New Era of Quantitative AI
Hidary emphasized that quantitative AI is complementary to language models and shines in areas where math and quantitative relationships are crucial. This partnership marks the first time SandboxAQ’s models will be available on a third-party platform, opening up new opportunities for growth and innovation.
SandboxAQ’s Impressive Growth
The Palo Alto-based startup has secured $300 million in funding, boosting its valuation to $5.6 billion. Backed by prominent investor firms, including Fred Alger Management, T. Rowe Price, and Breyer Capital, SandboxAQ is poised to make a significant impact in various sectors, including life sciences, financial services, and navigation.
The Quantum Computing Landscape
Google has been intensifying its efforts in quantum computing, announcing significant progress in developing a new generation of quantum chips. Microsoft has also touted the potential of quantum computing, unveiling its “Quantum Ready program”. While Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang believes practical applications are still two decades away, the partnership between SandboxAQ and Google Cloud marks an important step forward in the development of AI technology.
