Fios fiber customers increased by 51,000, while the fixed wireless business added 373,000 customers.
Strategic Acquisitions

The acquisition of Frontier Communications for $9.59 billion and the purchase of spectrum licenses from US Cellular Corp. for $1 billion demonstrate the company’s commitment to expanding its high-speed internet business.
Industry Outlook
As the first of the big three US telecom companies to report fourth-quarter earnings, Verizon sets the tone for the industry. AT&T Inc. and T-Mobile US Inc. will follow with their own reports on January 27 and 29, respectively. With its strong performance, Verizon has raised the bar for its competitors.
