A Commitment to Protection and Innovation

As the CEO of MyCarrier, I want to assure our valued shipping customers, partner carriers, and employees that our top priority remains serving their needs and protecting their interests. Amidst the ongoing litigation with Project44, I’d like to provide some clarity on our stance and the measures we’re taking to ensure business continuity.

A Brief Background

In late 2023, we agreed to a significant price increase in our annual fee to Project44, under the threat of service disruption. This updated contract explicitly granted us the right to continue innovating and meeting the demands of our customers. However, Project44 has responded with hostility, threats, and emotional appeals, despite the clear contractual language supporting our position.

Protecting Our Community

Throughout this dispute, Project44 has sent cease-and-desist letters to tens of thousands of our customers, making false statements and attempting to impose overbroad restrictive covenants that don’t exist in our agreement. Their aggressive legal tactics have forced us to take a stand and transition to a new vendor in September 2024, focusing on innovation rather than litigation. This move has resulted in a more stable and performant MyCarrier platform, eliminating the threat of Project44 disrupting our customers’ access to their carriers.

Transparency and Clarity

To provide transparency, I’d like to highlight key contractual language that ensures our ability to continue meeting the expectations of our shipping customers, carrier partners, and employees. This language explicitly states that we have the right to integrate directly with our carrier partners’ systems, supporting the unique demands of their LTL shippers.

Customer Data Protection

The protection of our customers’ data is paramount. Our agreement with Project44 clearly outlines that they have no right to customer data except for providing or improving services. We’re pursuing all legal remedies for their breach of these clauses, ensuring that our customers’ data remains secure and protected.
